Her father was a construction worker in Georgia, when she was born the 2nd of 3 children. They moved to Michigan to help her dad's deaf mute father when she was 2. She has lived in Michigan all of her adult life. Starting out in Redford Michigan, where her dad was Pastor at Wayside Baptist Church in Lapeer County. He later became a Precinct Delegate in 1988, after attending College at University of Michigan Dearborn. Christina has always had a desire to serve God and her community. She later moved with her family further north to Burton where in high school, she volunteered for the Republican Party elections helping to stuff envelopes. She graduated high school in 1990 with a 3.0. She went on to attend the University of Michigan-Flint where she worked several jobs including Media Assist, Distance Learning Classroom Assistant, Flint Summer Art Teacher and Substitute Teacher for Genessee County & Flint Schools. As a pastor's daughter, Christina continued to volunteer for the needs of her community as well. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and bus worker at Flint Baptist Temple of which her Uncle started.
Christina graduated with honors as an Education Major from the U of M-Flint campus and recieved a BA with studies in Language Arts and Fine Arts. Immediately, she was hired by Flint Community Schools as an Elementary teacher where she worked in many of their schools ranging in jobs from Elementary teacher K-6, HOSTS Coordinator and Title I Math/Language Arts teacher until 2013. During that time she married and had a daughter with her 1st husband. She volunteered at her family's church as a Sunday school teacher until 2008. She also spent her summers working in Grand Blanc as a Secretary for Coon Well drilling where she worked with filling out and filing the Health Department well logs, keeping accurate tax, business records and information.
In 2008 she went through a separation and her family including her blind father moved to Davison. In 2010 she moved further East to Lapeer where she continued to raise her daughter & took care of her now blind father, Later moving to Northbranch, she then was unexpectedly laid off from her 15 year teaching career in Flint and got another job as a Substitute teacher. She then went into Sales and Marketing where she was a Lead Sales Adviser and Trainer for Elite Marketing at several stores across Michigan until they lost their contract in 2015. After moving back to Burton, she married her 2nd husband and became mom to 3 more adult children, making a total of 4 children. She ran a health consultant business with her husband Jeff.
She then became the lead for Advantage Sales and Marketing, where she is currently working along with her health business.
This year, she continues to work special sales events in the tri state area. She and her husband also find time to volunteer traveling all over the USA with The Trump Unity Bridge, where her love for public service was rekindled. In a trip to Manhattan, New York, she was inspired by one of President Trump's sister's comments of concern for the state of the USA which prompted her to run for office. She believes the people in her community deserve good leadership and a voice that better represents them and their families and will put Americans 1st above party or special interests groups. They need someone who has worked hard in their district and will work just as hard for them to bring in results on issues like Quality Education, affordable health care and car Insurance rates. Christina's Christian Pro-life, free speech, 2nd Amendment, stance and love to preserve the American family values & our Constitution make her an excellent Republican Candidate for our 50th State district here in Michigan, delivering on her promises. We the people need to demand change from our federal, state and local governments. Christina Fitchett-Hickson is the Candidate who can make it happen!
